Shadow work is not pretty.
It’s not “love and light.”
It’s sitting in the dark with parts of yourself you were taught to avoid, deny, or abandon.

And still… it’s one of the most sacred things you’ll ever do.

That’s why I created the Shadow Work Card Set, a printable deck of 48 deeply reflective question cards, each paired with a mirror prompt.
This is not just a journal tool. It’s an invitation. A mirror. A ritual. A rebellion against perfection.

Why I made these cards

I’ve spent years peeling back the layers of who I thought I was… and what I thought I had to be. I’ve met my inner child, my rage, my shame, my messy cravings and my hidden grief and I realized something: The parts we hide the deepest are the ones most desperate to be held.

These cards were born from that space. From that truth.
I wanted to create something that feels like a conversation with your soul, something that doesn’t bypass, sugarcoat, or judge… but reveals.

What are Shadow Work Cards?

This deck includes 24 questions divided across 6 core shadow themes:

  • Ego & Masks
  • Anger & Control
  • Shame & Self-Worth
  • Envy & Comparison
  • Sexuality & Desire
  • Inner Child & Trauma

Each card includes one core question and a mirror prompt, a body-based or self-reflection cue that invites deeper presence. You can use them as:

  • Daily journal prompts
  • Mirror work rituals
  • Inner child ceremonies
  • Full moon releases
  • Creative activation tools (writing, dance, photography)

You don’t need to “know how” to do shadow work.
You just need to be willing to sit with your truth. These cards will guide you.

Why shadow work matters

We live in a world obsessed with healing the surface. With polishing the image. With pretending to be okay.
But the truth is:

  • Suppressed rage becomes illness
  • Buried shame becomes self-sabotage
  • Unseen inner children become broken relationships
  • Rejected desires become numb lives

Shadow work is the process of becoming whole again.
Not by fixing yourself, but by remembering all that you already are.

How to begin

You can download the card set https://mystiquesofy.gumroad.com/l/rbrtrb?_gl=1*1tpq5zt*_ga*MjIzMTgwNzU1LjE3NDYxMjI3NDQ.*_ga_6LJN6D94N6*czE3NDkwMjg2NTkkbzE1JGcxJHQxNzQ5MDMxNzY3JGo1OSRsMCRoMA.. or https://www.etsy.com/listing/4315400367/shadow-work-journal-prompts-pdf-24?ref=shop_home_active_1&logging_key=1c00886cdf79097473c183c7ce0bd6eb21e2f1e0%3A4315400367 and print them out or use them digitally.
Start simple:

  • Draw one card a day
  • Write without filters
  • Speak the mirror prompt aloud
  • Let your body respond
  • And most of all… be honest

This isn’t about doing it “right.”
It’s about showing up, raw, curious, and willing to feel.

For the brave hearts

If you’re here, reading this, you’re already ready.
Ready to meet the parts of yourself you’ve silenced.
Ready to face what hurts so it can heal.
Ready to rise from your own ashes, not polished… but whole.

🖤
I made these cards for you.
For the version of you who’s done hiding.
For the part of you that knows: there is medicine in the dark.

With love and shadow,
Sofy
